The site is very large and there is plently to do. The highlight was probably seeing the donkeys and watching a demonstration of one walking the water wheel. There is also the opportunity to walk around the battlements and see the stunning views from the castle keep. The castle is probably most famous as the royal prison of Charles I. There is a vast collection of memorabilia in the Castle Museum.
